An Interview with Mr. Flynn

As our research about ISM Recycling continued, we were directed towards Mr. Flynn as he was the man who had all of our answers! Mr. Flynn agreed to come meet with us to hopefully answer our questions about the recycling process at ISM.

We made sure to explain how our inquiry started and then continued on with our questions!

Mr. Flynn talked to us about where the non-recyclable waste goes. 

Mr. Flynn told us cardboard could be recycled with the paper!

We reflected as a class to determine if all of our questions were answered and what were the important pieces that should be included into our videos, posters, and instructions.

Our next step is to start our projects and work hard to complete the products by the ES assembly! 

Projects: 

1. Instructional Poster teaching everyone how to recycle properly at ISM

2. New labels with pictures and a bulleted list of items that can go in each bin

3. A video showing the ISM community how much trash is left on the ground each day

4. A video teaching people how to properly use the recycle bins
