Finalizing Our Teaching Plans on Creativity

The Blazing Marshmallows have worked very these past three days to plan and prepare for their mini lessons on what it means to be a creative learner. We divided ourselves into  five groups: movie, book, building, mathematics, and reading/writing/drawing. Each small group collaborated by using communication skills and preparing how to teach their mini lesson.

The movie group took the interview footage shot by the whole class and pieced together a movie  that the preschoolers can watch to hear teachers talk about what it means to be a responsible learner.

The book group gathered the 'creative learner' pages that were created with our grade four buddies and made a book that we can leave with the preschoolers. The book uses pictures and words to show different strategies that are useful when trying to be a creative learner and think outside the box.

The building group worked together to gather random objects so they can show the preschoolers that you can use anything while planning and building projects or towers!

The mathematics group created a poster showing the preschoolers many different wants to make a number!

The reading/writing/drawing group are going to model using pictures and words to read stories. They will also teach them that even if you make a mistake on a drawing or book, you can use it to make something else! You must always try your best!
